Super Cheap Natural Hair Routine + My First YouTube Video

by Taylor

youtube-wash-and-go

Do you have useless curly hair?

I felt your pain until I finally figured out what to do with my hair after 25 years of trial and error. Now that I’ve got this crazy hair under control, friends, family, and strangers always ask me what I do to maintain my hair and keep it healthy.

My natural hair routine is surprisingly is simple and of course CHEAP. (As you know I take a DIY approach to my hair and this curly hair routine is no different!)

The good news.

I’ve found that it’s not the brand of product that you use. There’s no need to buy the most expensive ones out there. For me it’s the techniques in my natural hair routine that help me arrive at the most defined curls.

At first I planned to just write out what I do because I’m camera shy. But I’m attempting to step out of my comfort zone lately and I taped a video. Plus it’s far easier to visualize this whole thing than read it on a computer screen.

So without further ado here’s the video!

Afterthought

Being taped and public speaking really isn’t my thing. After doing this tape I have even more respect for professional YouTubers and Podcasters who put themselves out there through video and audio. It’s pretty scary stuff when people view your work and rate it.

My palms are sweating just thinking about it.

I taped this video nearly a month ago and I’ve only recently gotten the courage to put it out for the world to see. I hope you enjoy it!

If you do please thumbs up, share, and comment :)

Copy Cat Chic Giveaway | The Company Store

by Reichel Broussard
I'm pretty excited about this week's giveaway! I'm such a fan of their products and have been for a long time - since I was a child really. They have such great quality bedding and linens and very reasonable prices. Let's welcome back The Company Store for another great giveaway!

And as you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aka a plethora of pink for a good cause ;) The Company Store is partnering up with the Avon Foundation and Avon walk! All this month they'll be donating $5 of every LaCrosse comforter purchase to the Avon Foundation. Pretty awesome, right?

I love supporting companies that support a cause - it's a great way to give meaning to that retail therapy ;) And in situations like this: you buy bedding you need and also directly affect the amount donated!

And in case you didn't know, The Company Store has more than just bedding. Here are some of my current decor and accessories (as well as bed linens) faves on their site right now. In fact, I'm a proud new owner of number seven!

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight

And for the giveaway portion: The Company Store is generously gifting a $150 gift card to one of you lucky readers out there! You can enter to win the using the rafflecopter widget below.

Transformation Tuesday | All the hard work pays off

by Nadege L
There's something to be said about a person who sets a goal for themselves and then puts in the consistent actions to achieve it.  I admire those who are able to create and maintain a set of new habits while overcoming the resistance that tries to keep them in their old ways.  That's why today's post is dedicated to those who are transforming their bodies.

They're such inspirations.
